Xacobeo 2010 (Part 5)

This is the fifth and final post of my photographic tribute to the Camino de Santiago in this, its holy year (Año Xacobeo).

Sunny skies on the Camino de Santiago

Morning shadow (with walking stick) in the hills of Galicia

A typical afternoon of beers (most pilgrims walk from about 7:30-2:00, leaving a full afternoon for drinking beer or wine in a different town every day)

Nightfall in Villfranca del Bierzo

Obligatory meal in Galicia: Pulpo a la gallega (Galician-style octopus, with olive oil and paprika) and a bottle of Albariño white wine (meant to be consumed from a ceramic bowl)

One Response to “Xacobeo 2010 (Part 5)”

  1. Wonderful tribute for Año Xacobeo 2010!
    Thank you!

I shall be there from April to November! I can hardly wait for it!
I feel like I miss Camino so much, even if I have never been there…at least not in this life 🙂
